Features
The Agilent 4291A uses a direct current-voltage measurement technique for an accurate impedance measurement over wide impedance range. The set-up has been equipped with a special test fixture for measuring the complex permeability of thin films, and a Helmholtz coil system for measurements in a non-zero external magnetic field. Special properties are:- Wide frequency range from 1 MHz up to 2 GHz with 1 mHz resolution.
- Wide impedance range from 0.1 to 50 kohm.
- Accuracy of impedance measurement is 1 - 10% depending on impedance and frequency range.
- Accuracy of Q measurement is 5-10% for a Q-factor of 100.
- Turn on the analyzer and allow for a 30 minute warm-up period.
- Calibrate the test head.
- Connect the test fixture to the test head.
- Set the electrical length of the test fixture.
- Compensate for the test fixture.
- Put the sample in the test fixture.
- Set up the analyzer to fit the measurement requirements.
- Measure the sample.
- Analyze the experimental result.
